Well, I'm at the Con.  Able to use the app for the first time ever thanks to an iPad and a mobile hotspot.  Here are some Friend Codes for anyone  doing that:

Thanks anyone and everyone who's run Dark Con for the best LARP experience ever.   Going to miss it in 2014.  It's going to be weird to actually spend the majority of time at Dragon*Con doing something other than playing.

Here's a few characters I remember that haven't been mentioned so far.

LOVE (Lords Of Villainy and Evil): A super villain group founded by myself and others after the wrap up in 2008 after seeing the Acolytes of Justice that year.  Lead byf Helios The Lesser (aka Dr. Robert Anthony Powers), a solar-powered genius, with minions Shadow Long (aka Leo Small), a super strong thug, and his girlfriend Mistress Dark (aka Sunny Dale), mind-bending femme fatale.

First year (2009) they were played we tried a Thunderbolts gambit, pretending to be heroes to gain the Acolytes' trust so we could ambush them when they were most vulnerable.  Our plan worked so well that other than some other bad guys we did deals with no one realized we were actually super villains.  Alas, events were such that we never got the opportunity to back stab the Acolytes.  On the plus side that meant we still had their trust in 2010, which worked out well since it let Helios trick the Dark Avenger into showing him the location of his secret laboratory and steal Voidstar's affections.  Oh, and I think we tried to assassinate one or two of them during the endgame but it was so chaotic they didn't notice.

Other characters I remember include Scot Peter, an evil Highlander expy, Alan Grey who was leader of the Grey's planetary survey team, Angelo Oddbody, an angel trying to earn his halo, a Cyborg Cop who was on a quixotic mission to provide law and order at Dragoncon, and a really powerful psionic who thought he was Thor.

If you are still trying to make alternate arrangements, I've got a room at the Hilton and trying to find two more people so the cost can be split four ways.

.  I spent the entire game trying to get people involved in it.  The only person I was coy around was one of the main plot characters, because I had reason to believe Ben was partly behind the plot (as far as I can tell at this point, he wasn't).
I can confirm that I indeed was not behind the plot, apart of course from being one of the Clementine Crew caught up in the accident.  In fact, I was oblviuous to the fact that anyone actually suspected me as the Big Bad for the entire game, and didn't find out that some people thought I deliberately sabatoged the Clementine till afterward.

I guess playing a supervillain two years in a row will typecast you.   :)

And luckily, the book probably didn't have coins either, so your opponent was equally surprsied.    :)

Wait, is there a way to see our own achievements?  I don't remember seeing anything about that.

General Discussion / Re: Character Choice's
« on: August 15, 2011, 06:33:38 PM »
I prefer pre-made characters.  I've got a bunch of interesting (to me at least) character ideas I'd like to try out, so requesting a character based on my ideas is my preferred choice.  I"ve played random characters in the past and had fun with them, but I think getting to play a character envisioned by myself makes it easier and more fun to roleplay because I know the character better.

Congrantulations.  Sure you don't want to wait a week and have the wedding at Dragoncocn?  I'm sure they could work it into the game.    :)
