I believe 2013 was the final Dark ConFrontation as we now know it. I think they wanted to take a year off and re-assess the industry. I believe the intent was to be back in 2015, with a different game. It probably won't have the same backstory, though it may be related to the aftermath of last game. It won't be a continuous four day game like it is now. They were going to look into the X Hour sessions, possibly doing multiple X hours sessions that were related but also independent. I believe they're also intending on changing the rules system. Whether they call that Reality Break or something else, there's no telling. I think 2013 was intended to be a finale of what has been, but that they intend on making something new. The LARP industry and Dragon Con have changed from what they were in 1993 when Dark Con started, from 1998 when Benji, Xande, and Smithy took over, and from 2007 when Joe, Nick and JT took control. I believe they wanted the extra time to decide how they wanted to change HMG and Dark Con.
